ATTACK OF THE MINI REVIEWS!

The following are things I have been impressed by recently.

Stardust 5 out of 5 Unpopped kernels.
Think The Princess Bride
with less campyness and better special effects. I could write all day
comparing the two films. There were many send offs to TPB in Stardust,
but also quite a few digs as well. They were so well done too! As I was
telling Meredith on the way home today, I can’t wait to watch this
movie with my non-existent kids someday. This is in my top 10 movies of
all time. It is that watchable.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption 4.5 out of 5 Sore wrists.
Quite possibly the best FPS I have ever played. It looks about as good
as Halo 2. Rundas was one of the hardest bosses I have ever encountered.

Stephen Prothero 9 out of 10 Copies of God Is Not Great
I had the privilege of listening to a lecture given by Dr. Prothero
Friday evening. (I know, how exciting is my life?) In it, he discussed
his latest book, Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know–And Doesn’t (nutshell). I could not have been more impressed. See my post at the Theology for the Masses for something a little more in depth :: Religion in Schools. If you are interested in listening to the talk, the post over there has a embedded audio player, or you can download it (~8MB WMA).

Pumpkin Spice Latte - 4.2 shaking hands out of 5
I went a whole year without trying this product. Heck, Meredith
actually bought a local Starbuck’s surplus (i.e. two gallons of the
syrup) and I did not try it at all. Finally tried it tonight, and I
must say that the mix of pumpkin flavor plus dark roast expresso is
pretty darn good.

I think I would’ve actually liked to hear that guy speak.

Metroid Prime best first person shooter ever? More-so than Call of Duty? Hmmmmmmm… Halo 3 is set to release 25SEPT, I wish I hadn’t gotten rid of my xbox360 now.

I think it is better the CoD. Plays smoother - but it is quite arcady, so perhaps the two can’t really be compared.

Oh, if you follow the link to the Unsound Argument, there is a embeded
player. I don’t know how to get something like that to work here. Or
    you can just download it

Metroid Prime…WOW. I am surprised by that. I loved the classic Metroids. I did not even know that the new Metroid came out.I will have to check it out.
