As you can see, I am on a bit of a blogging hiatus. Not that
there is not a lot to talk about, I just can’t take the time to do it
here. School, God, life, marriage, all of it is leaving me no time at
the end of the day and week.
In the past it seems like when I go to do something like this, I end
up finding all kinds of time and space to write. That might happen
here, or it might not.
School
On the schooling front, I am starting to look at the next phase of schooling. Right now, I want to get into the Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical and Theological Studies program at Wheaton. It is damn hard to get into and most likely I will have to get a Masters in Church History or Biblical Archeology
to even get my prerequisites up to spec. I should have a decent
grounding in Greek, German, and French by the time I am done with MU,
but I need to have a background in Hebrew and theology, of which I have
zilch. Getting Church history degree would allow me to get that
background.
That is just one scenario. I am starting to look at several other
schools. The ultimate aim is to be able to teach one or more
combination of the following:
- Liberal Arts College
- Bible College or Seminary
- Theology
- Church History
- NT studies
- Religion, World, Eastern, et cetera
- Philosophy
Overall, developing what I want to study later on helps shape my
current research project, most notably my thesis, which I have no idea
what I am going to do. We shall see.
Not going Nuts
Been using video games to take my weekly break from school,
otherwise I would be going (more) crazy (than I am now). I played
through Halo 2, which was the best game ever with the worst ending
ever. It was kinda like they were like, “Ok, time’s up. Time to ship mo matter where you guys are at.” Beyond the ending, I absolutely loved the game.
After beating Halo 2, I moved on to Marvel Ultimate Alliance, the
comic lover’s dream game. I am about 85% done and loved every minute of
it. In the wings I picked up NBA 2K7. I am not sure what exactly to
think of it. It seems pretty in depth game, but I have only been able
to devote a few minutes here and there, so I am sure I am missing out
on a lot. Love the street mode, however.

Yea! Go to Wheaton! Then we could hang out!
And thats a lot of exclamation points!
That would be an added bonus. It is our first choice, as of now.
