Some Thoughts Concerning Apologetics and its Sister, Conversion

Historically, the first apologetics were designed to show the Romans that Xianity was not a supertitio. #

Apologetics is more about strengthening a worldview than about saving the lost. #

(and that is ok) #

No one was ever converted by means of a proof of god. It is almost always by means of relationship, experience. Everyday religion indeed #

Conversely, hardly any apostate is such due to logical failures. It is most often hurts inflicted which allow for an exchange of identity. #

Once that identity is exchanged the apostate will, like the convert, seek out proofs to bolster the new identity. #
