g4 TV is…

Honzo July 24th, 2005

Not worth the electricity that it takes to display it on my TV
screen. Honestly, the channel is terrible. I want to send them a note
that states that not everyone is a thirteen year old hornball who is in
love with bad video games (well, I am not 13). Most of thier prgramming
this friday was dedicated to E3 recaps because, well, they can’t come
up with good programing on their own. They also actually have a
character called “Mr. Xtreeme” who went around and tried to hawk the
most extreeme game of all time. The dude actually had “X”s shaved into
his beard. I have never wanted to tar and feather a person more in my
life.

But enough about that. In other news, the LAN party went well. We
got an early start on gaming, fireing up the towers by 10AM. We
finnished at 11PM, breaking for food a couple of times. I did not live
up to my hype at first, I had some early struggles at Counter Strike,
but played very weill towards the end. The games were our two FPS
staples, Counter Strike Source and Jedi Knight, Jedi Academy. We played
alot on the Episode I final duel level, which is perhaps my favorite
level of all time. Most fun part of the night? I found out how to turn
off the autoteam balance feature on Counter Strike Source and we went 3
humans against 13 bots on a couple of maps, with the score being about
25-2 with the humans having the upper hand.

In related news, I got a good yearly review at work and a good raise
and a good promotion. I don’t like to talk about work details on the
blog, so I will just leave it at that.
