I answered some of this in my last comment on my site, but I'd just like to point out that my post was really a muddle of two points.  The one you replied to is that I think God is imaginary.  The second, more subtle point, is that I think the view of God has shifted over time from one that is falsifiable to one that isn't.  I'll admit that most of my experience with Chistianity comes from the older form, viz. fundamentalism.  I don't have a good understanding of liberal Christianity and what I think I understand makes little sense to me. Why is God hidden?  Or more to the point, why do you beleive in a god that seems to not exist?
