As many of you know, Reed does not sleep. Babies of his age are supposed to sleep X amount of hours in a day, and Reed only sleeps 0.6X hours a day. It is pretty awesome. Meredith and I have not been more sleep deprived in our lives.
But that is getting better. As of last night, we worked out a Reed sleeping schedule which divvies out nightly Reed feedings and soothings into blocks which will keep one of of uninterrupted at all times. We tried it out last night with wild success.
Earlier, I’d get Reed and bring him to Meredith to feed, and then I’d take him back and sooth him to sleep. Well, this means that Reed would wake both of us up (I had a hard time getting back to sleep while Reed was with Meredith) and keep both of us up several times during the night.
The new set up keeps Meredith uninterrupted from bedtime to 3:30AM and me from 3:30AM-6AM.
Oh, the pic?! Today, he fell asleep while holding my finger. Wouldn’t do it otherwise, but immediately fell when he held it. Too. Cute.
