the issue, either fewer contributions are being offered or fewer are
being accepted. It does show that greed is more powerful than the media
spotlight. i would have assumed that no political official would touch
the money in light of the coverage. On the other hand, and I just
noticed this–donations for 2006 are considerably ahead of 2004 and
we’re only 1/4 way through the year. that is really frightening!
It also shows that regardless of where the power lies in
Washington, the democrats continue to be favored for donations–go
figure!
It may have more to do with Democrats being the representatives in many these respective states.
And what is the interest in Indian gaming for? I am just curious why
this is the focus and not other issues such as the oil/energy industry,
the auto industry, the military industry, etc.
I think it has a lot to do with the media crapping their pants about the Abramoff scandals.
