I
seem to be much busier this semester than I was all of last year. I
really could not put my finger on it. It is as though it is finals week
ever single day. I am only taking three graduate classes, right? Well
over breakfast with Meredith this morning, I think I figured it out.
In addition to taking three official graduate classes: Major Figures, The Vedas, and Intensive Greek; I am doing side work as well. Not only is there the two sections I am TAing/teaching in Intro to Religion, but I am also doing an unofficial Latin reading course (The Millionaire’s Dinner Party), writing/researching my thesis, and have started an unofficial NT Greek readings course (The Gospel of Mark). Even though they are not official classes, these other endeavors take as much work and time as a regular class.
So, putting all of these things together, it is as though I am
TA’ing a class w/ two sections and taking 6 graduate classes. At least
there is a reason behind my perceived madness.

Sounds tough. I’ll bet you’re having a blast, though.
Yeah, I am not complaining, just realizing where all the time has gone.
