Sports reading

Henry Imler February 13th, 2007

I used to use ESPN.com
for all my sports news. However, it seems that with every passing day
there are more advertisements and more and more of their real analysis
is hidden behind the “Insider,” a subscription feature. I used to have
a free pass beyond its doors, but alas, it has expired.

In light of that, do any of you know where to get good sports news?

yahoo sports is decent; they have free rumors stuff

i’ve been really enjoying aol sports lately [i know weird]. their
fanhouse blogs are priceless and really funny. just today, they had a
video up from the first nba lottery and this week, they had a clip of
kobe’s dad dunking in the nba.

I have been using CBS Sportsline. It is great for the individual games
and playoffs, but the added cross-section analysis is missing.

honestly…there are not many good sports sites anymore. I HATE the new
Yahoo Sports layout. They are trying way too hard to look something
    like ESPN.

Nor surprisingly, I get my best sports coverage from blogs. Not sure
where good basketball blogs are, as it is not one of the primary sports
that I follow. But there are great baseball blogs and a few decent
football blogs. I know the Bulls blog (http://www.blogabull.com/) is pretty decent.
