job of staying with the comics. Gweyn Stacey was just pointless, and i
felt she took time away from venom and sandman. Green Goblin II was
done the best and got a good fairwell in my opinion, did anyone stay
after the credits, i was to tired to even care?
Yeah, I didn’t like Emo-Parker either. That whole sequence could have
used some Saturday Night Fever music to add the humor, or to show just
how dumb that whole sequence was. I also wish they really hadn’t made
me feel like they ripped of Bruce Almighty either.
I loved Harry in the movie and I was very pleased with Venom, Topher
had me worried since he isn’t the type of guy pictured in the comics as
Eddie Brock. He pulled it off wonderfully. I like this movie more than
Spidy 2 but Spider-Man 1 is still my personal favorite.
females in the movie did not SWOON over him, they looked at him like he
was a freak when he was “strutin his stuff”.
i thought that part of the movie was helarious. all the stupid mushy
crying scenes i could have done with out, felt like it went on forever!
but atleast it was funny as hell!
also venom was alright, but HES NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK! then again i may
have missed those issues of the comics where venom gets a vocabulary
which consists of more than a few growls, moans, and spitting and
drooling.
Sorry, The Suck, but you are wrong on Venom not talking. I don’t know
about originally, but he has been talking for quite awhile in the
comics.
guns everyonce in a while. I own several comic books. Several of which
feature my favorite anti-hero/villan, Venom, he speaks in everysingle
one. From his origin, to his the Macgargan/Venom three of modern day
thunderbolts. So yes Venom does talk. Secondly it wasn’t that the emo
thing wasn’t funny, i agree it was hilarious, but i hated seeing my
childhood hero do the emo thing, how am i supposed to set back and
watch my favorite character go through the phase i hate most in life.
The movie was good, and Venom needed more talking in my opinion,
especially without the dumb mask removal thing, that looked retarded
with the teeth. Oh well, blame Sam Rammi not me.
Btw Better the second time i saw it without the tiredness of swimming
in chlorine for 4 hours. The only complaint is why kill off Venom!
When I watched it the second time with Meredith, I must say I agree
with the Suck on the women and emo-parker. It was still ridiculous. The
movie is better the second time around. —–
Movie was definitely better the second time. Did Parker have the
emo-hair (which my eight-year old sister hated as well) on the first
trip down the street when the women were swooning over him? That
sequence was retarded but I feel was necessary to develop Symbiote
Spider-Man and break up the intensity of the movie.
Remember that the professor/Doctor has a sample in his lab still.
Good catch, good catch.
A friend and I were talking today about the movie over lunch. He is a
big spiderman fan - its the character he follows in comics. He thought
that the Harry storyline would have played better in the 2nd movie and
that the third should have focused solely on the Sandman. I added that
it would have been cool if the movie ended with Spidey needing the
symbiote to defeat the Sandman (or Harry in the last movie) and the
movie ending with Spiderman in the black suit. That way the next movie
could open with the powers going to his head and the whole movie be
centered around wrestling with that. We both agreed they tried to do
too much in the third movie.
I still don’t like the dorky dark Spiderman angle. If this was a
Saturday morning cartoon, that would be fine, but this is a movie. I
expected something a little more nuanced and sinister.
everything cause they assumed it would the last one, atleast with them,
and of course sam rami wants all the fame, so he put everything in it.
I however didn’t feel this hindered the movie, but it does put a damper
on knowing that Venom in the eddie Brock form (the only venom as far as
i’m concerned) is dead. If there was a sequal i would see the symbiote
getting mixed with dr. conners lizard cure and making him into the
lizard?
I liked your idea about using Venom to defeat sandman and then opening
the next film with an actual dark spidey.
Venom talks to Spiderman. “We are Venom”… does that ring a bell? Well
it should b/c its basically his catch phrase. Emo- Parker was a waste
of my life. Green Goblin II should have been dead like 8 times in this
damn movie and I don’t ever remember him helping Peter against Venom
and or Sandman. STUPID. ALso, when the hell does Venom need help
against SPidey, especially not when it was his first appearance. ALso,
Spidey should have been dead when Sandman was crushing him. WHy did
they kill Venom? Why didn’t they just end the movie when SPidey got rid
of the symbiote and make the whole next movie about Venom. DUH? WHy did
this movie have to suck monkey balls while getting a steaming diareha
dump out of a donkey’s dick splattered all over?
This movie broke my heart.
that is a cool picture
